Not sure how to entertain the kids now that they’re on summer vacation? Excited that the weather is heating up, but want to do something different to enjoy it? Why not head out of town to Ontario, Ore. for a night of neon, music, food, and dancing!

According to the website, “This 5K is a unique, nighttime, glow-in-the-dark run through Ontario, OR. Racers will be wearing light up costumes of their own design to Light It Up along the race course. Everyone will be rewarded with a fun and lively after party, complete with awards for top placers and best costume.”  I admit, the idea of watching elite runners fly through the streets of Ontario with bits and pieces of glow sticks flying off them in every which way, is a reason to sign up for this race in itself!  DJ Scribbles will be hosting an after-party filled with lively music, plenty of dancing, food, and even a beer garden!

All proceeds from this race benefit Project Dove, a nonprofit organization that provides services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, as well as teen dating violence.

So grab your glow sticks, sign up for this race, and head down to Ontario for a night of fun and music, all the while helping to support a great cause!
