Race Preview: 2015 Bite of Bend Beer Run (5k)

The 2015 Bite of Bend Beer Run is back once again on Sunday, June 21. This event, which runs in conjunction with the Bite of Bend combines three of my favorite things - running, beer, and Bend.

Like in years past, the race sends participants along a 5k loop through Drake Park, along the Deschutes River and back along Columbia Drive. Due to construction in the area, the course has been modified a little bit, but still features three beer stops from from 10 Barrel, Cascade Lakes and Deschutes Breweries along the way.

Costumes are always encouraged and there will be prizes are awarded to participants who rule over the rest. This event sells out each year, so register soon. Your fee will cover the race, beer, a free day entry to the Bite of Bend Mixology Event, and a commemorative souvenir (if you are among the first 1000 to register).
