Why You Should Participate in the 2015 Canby Dahlia Run (Discount Code Included!)

If you haven't checked out the Canby Dahlia Run yet, this is a can't miss event! With a 10K and a Half Marathon option, both runners and walkers are welcome. Here are a few reasons why you should participate in this race in 2015.

Beautiful Swan Island Dahlia fields – The Canby Dahlia Run half marathon course takes runners and walkers through the nation’s largest dahlia fields in the height of the blooming season.

The Hood to Coast alternative – Held on the same weekend as Hood to Coast, this event will give you another racing option if your team didn’t get into Hood to Coast this year. Bring the whole team to Canby for this beautiful, stress-free, no-stinky-vans event. Or, if you are sure that some of your friends are going to be begging you at the last minute to join their relay team and you need a legitimate reason to say, “I can’t,” register for Canby Dahlia Run and your weekend plans are set!

Get out of the big city – Just 20 minutes from Portland, the rural community of Canby is the perfect setting for a low-traffic run away from the crowded city streets. Racers will run through neighborhoods, forested areas, the dahlia farm, wheat fields, and more. I’m pretty sure the air is fresher and the sun shines brighter here.

More to do after the race – Stick around Canby after the race and enjoy the Dahlia Festival, Cruise-In car show, Art Walk, Saturday Market and so much more.

Certified Run Oregon Non-Profit/Volunteer Race – All of the proceeds from the Canby Dahlia Run go to Canby area charities. The race is organized by an all volunteer staff. Be assured that your registration fees are going only to race expenses and to help legitimate charities.

    Agreed! I ran this last year and it was a fantastic event & nice course. I’ll definitely be back this year.
