Pacific Northwest Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k occurring Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Eugene, Oregon.
Eugene is blessed with another marathon and half marathon occurring during our prime running months. On May 2, 2015, the Inaugural Pacific Northwest Marathon and half marathon will take place in Track Town USA. Living in Eugene myself, I am very proud of my local events, and can’t wait to share this one with you! This event also features a 5k, in addition to a family run, so everyone in the family can participate in one of the events offered on race day!
The Pacific Northwest (PNW) Marathon and half marathon currently has a super sweetcontest going on, and I wanted to make sure you knew about this before it closes on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14. Here’s the deal – share your fitness story and win $300. Bam! What is more awesome than that?
Here are the simple instructions to share your story:
1. Make a Fitness Goal – Any goal that is meaningful to you.
2. Work to Achieve your Goal – Your goal does not have to be finished in January, but you should make progress toward it.
3. Write Your Story – Write about who you are, why you set your goal, what efforts you have made to achieve it, and how it has changed your life so far.
4. Share Your Story – In order for your story to make a difference in somebody’s life, you have to share it. Either post it on our facebook page as a comment in the “Share Your Story Contest” post, or send it to us by email: david@pacificnorthwestmarathon.com.
A team of 5 judges will read all of the submissions and choose their favorites. Prizes include a $300 REI gift card, a complimentary marathon or half marathon event registration, one month membership at Oakway Fitness, and PNW Marathon embroidered gear! Remember, February 14th is the cut off, so you only have a short period of time left to make your mark and get your submission in.
Also, why not get registered for the PNW Marathon and half marathon while you can save some money! A price increase takes place on February 1. By registering prior to February 1, marathon entry is $75, half marathon is $60, and the 5k is $15.
