Race Preview: 2015 Rogue River Half Marathon

On Saturday February 21st, 2015 come and run along the beautiful Rogue River. The Rogue River half marathon/Alyssa Watson Memorial 5k and 1 mile kids fun run will be run on the northern part of the Bear Creek Greenway in Rogue River, OR. This cost friendly run sponsored by Southern Oregon Runners, will be benefiting the Hidden Valley High School Cross Country Program.

Starting at Fleming Memorial Park in Rogue River, the course is an out and back on the Bear Creek Greenway. I personally run the Greenway a lot but this section of the Greenway is one most in the Medford/Ashland area don’t run often. This section of the Greenway is probably the most beautiful and peaceful section in my opinion. There will also be a 1 mile kids fun run and the participants (10 and under) will receive a shirt and ribbon.

$100 prize for top male and female finishers and ribbons for the top 3 in each age group. If registered online before 2/1/15 there are Rogue River Run beanies available. For those that are Southern Oregon Runners members this is a runner of the year event. No roller skates, dogs, baby joggers, skateboards, bicycles or unregistered runners.
