Race Preview: 2015 My Muddy Valentine

Tired of the same boring Valentine's Day?  Well, Terrapin Events has the cure!  My Muddy Valentine is sure to give you something original and fun to do on Valentine's Day whether you are going solo or looking for a crazy-fun date.

Mud, obstacles, beer, and more will be on the agenda at Lee Farms in Tualatin.  How often has your Valentine’s Day been this creative?  Obstacles include things like a rope swing, tires, hay bales, mud pits, tunnels, a mud slide, and a few new surprises. The event also promises things from food to mimosas to hot showers afterwards. This 5K mud run will be held over 2 days with wave times starting at 9:00 a.m. and going until 2:30 p.m.

My Muddy Valentine supports Molly’s Fund, a non-profit organization fighting lupus. Molly’s Fund also works to educate people about lupus and provide support for those affected by this disease.

Make sure to check out information on parking for this event, as there are two different options.  A limited number of parking spaces are available for pre-purchase only at Lee Farms.  All other participants should park at Legacy Meridian Park in Tualatin and take the shuttle (arriving about every 10 minutes.)  Parking at Legacy Meridian Park will be free if there are 3 or more in your car, otherwise, plan on paying to park.  This sounds like a real good reason to round up a couple of friends to join you on this fun Valentine’s Day adventure.  Besides, OCRs (obstacle course races) are always more fun with friends!

My Valentine’s Days are usually uneventful, as my husband is into his busy season at work, so I’m rounding up some friends to join me at this year’s event.  Sure, February’s weather is unpredictable, but we runners are used to being out in the elements.  We’ll just be adding a little mud and a few obstacles to the mix.  I’m excited to join in on this fun event.  I can’t wait to see what Terrapin Events creates for us.  Come join me.  I guarantee we’ll have fun!
