Race Preview: 2015 New Year’s Eve Midnight Glow Run

The Willamette Valley is really getting into the swing of things for the new year. While Salem has a couple New Years morning events, runners can head to Silverton to experience a race at the stroke of Midnight on January 1. The 2015 New Year's Eve Midnight Glow Run is a relatively new event, but seems to pack a ton of fun into the small town of Silverton. With a race name like that, they are really going all out with the “glow” aspect. They are wanting runners to break out their  reflective gear, as well as glow sticks and glow paint to make this a truly flashy way to break in the new year. Each registratnt will receive a glow necklace and 2 glow bracelets with their entry as well!

The event will feature 3 distances: 3K, 5K, or 7K run. The course will meander through beautiful downtown Silverton and out Water St with turnaround options along the way. While the night will be dark, volunteers will help direct runners along the way.

Afterwards, stick around for some live music, as well as for some food and drink at Seven Brides Brewing (with a free pint included with registration. There will also be awards for winners, as well as a raffle.
