The 5k includes a goody bag, Happy Girls active wear and refreshments. The 5k starts (9:30AM) and finishes at Three Creeks Brewery with a loop through Downtown Sisters. Guys are allowed to register, but will not be included in the results for awards, since this is a women’s race. There will be an aid station in the middle with water and Gu gels. The course looks flat, with approximately 52 feet of elevation gain for the entire run.
For those girls that were lucky enough to get a spot into the Half Marathon, the run starts at the top of Peterson Ridge Forest Road, with three waves beginning at 9AM. Shuttles will transfer runners from Sister’s Elementary School to the starting line beginning at 7:15AM and will run through 8:15AM. There is no parking at Peterson Ridge and runners parked at the trailhead will be disqualified. The course promises to be well marked, looks to have a good portion of decent and will include 3 aid stations. Water, Gu Brews and Gu Gels will be found at miles 3.6, 6.7 and 10.4. The aid stations will be staffed by the Sister’s Park and Recreation District, also the beneficiary of this event. The Half Marathon finishes at Three Creeks Brewing and Five Pine Lodge and Spa. There will be a custom finisher’s belt buckle at the finish line for Half Marathon participants.
