Race Preview: Discover Pink Walk

  Join Discovery Pink Walk and help raise awareness about Breast Cancer.  This is the 10th anniversary for this event and to celebrate, cake will be served at 11am at the Wilson Park Gazebo. This walk is a community event for everyone to participate in with a flexible start time.  Marion-Polk County Medical Society has set a flexible start time between 10am to noon on October 4th for a walk around the Oregon State Capitol.  The course is a one mile loop that can be completed as many times as each participant would like.  

This allows women going through treatment for a little walk before visiting the Wellness Village or for participants to set a goal of how many loops they would like to complete or perhaps walk in honor of someone who is not able to participate.  Weather you choose to walk one loop or multiple miles, be sure to stop by the Oregon State Capitol stairs with your friends/teammates to catch a photo.  The stairs have been reserved for participants of this event.

Deadline for shirt orders was Sept. 10th however customizable bibs are still available for participants.  Shirt and bib pick up takes place Thursday, Oct. 2nd from Noon to 6pm and on Friday from 8am to 1pm at the Medical Foundation office: 2995 Ryan Drive SE Suite 100.

Despite the shirt order deadline, it is not too late to register and help raise awareness for this important cause, honor those on their journey through Breast Cancer and enjoy the festivities sure to be at this event.
