It’s time to let your inner geek out, runners!

Were you ever one of the neighborhood kids who ran around outside with your makeshift cape that slightly resembles your mom’s best sheets? Did you put your bright red undies on the outside of your clothes just to see if it made you just a tad bit “super”? Have you ever secretly WANTED to? Here’s an opportunity to finally release your inner superhero (or villain) without having someone from the psych ward make a house call!

This year’s annual Superhero Fun Run 5k and Kids Run will give you just the excuse you’ve been looking for to relive your childhood dreams. Whether you’re looking to be the superhero and save the day, or be the devious villain, you’re sure to have a great time. If you’re wanting to put a little extra effort into your costume this year, your efforts will not go unnoticed. Aside from the countless children gawking at your awesomeness, there will also be judges who will award cash prized for the best superhero AND villain costumes.

Packet pickup will be available on race day starting at 8am, but in an effort to start the race on time, they will stop handing out bibs at 8:45am, so make sure you arrive early enough to park and get checked in. No one wants to see a sad superhero because he missed his chance to get his bib on time!

If you’d like more information on this fun race, feel free to check out their website online here.  Their 5k adult race entry fee of just $15 makes this a fun, cheap, and creative way to spend your Saturday afternoon. Of course, you COULD just stay home and watch cartoons of superheros all afternoon, but that’s not nearly as fun as BEING one for the day.
