Portland Marathon Clinic run for Saturday, July 12, 2014

PMTC-logoGet ready for a tour of Portland’s East Side on this 15th run of the 2014 Portland Marathon Training Clinic. The group will start at Mountain Hardwear, located on SW Taylor St. just west of Broadway in downtown Portland.

This week, the distance ratchets up to 16 miles for the shorter route and 18 miles for the more experienced runners. You will need hydration and nutrition on the course … no questions asked. The temps are getting pretty warm, too, and you can bet the sun will be out. So dress appropriately, wear a hat or visor, and don’t forget the sunscreen.

For parking, there are a number of Smartpark garages near the start of the run – these are probably your best bet.

This run is open to everyone, whether or not you are running the Portland Marathon. It’s a great way to get in your mileage with a group of similarly-minded runners, stay on pace and not have to figure out a solo route!

Here’s the rest of the schedule:

All runs are on Saturdays and start promptly at 8a, so be there by 7:45 at the very latest for instructions and to use the restroom before you start.  Click on the location for a Google map showing you where to go. For directions, click on “Get Directions” and enter your starting address.
