Race Preview: 2014 Summerfest Run (10k & 5k) in Dallas

Add another race with a summer festival to your summer mix. The 2014 Summerfest Run, held on July 26, 2014, features a 10k, 5k, and kid's run that traverses through the shaded Dallas creek trails and Dallas City Park, as well as running through the downtown corridor.

The 5K  and 10K courses are mostly an out-and-back, though they do split off and curl on some different streets at times. The 5k doesn’t get to run through the cedar trails of Dallas City Park – something that 10k’ers will do.

There is also a fun run that follows along the parade route. Check out the 2/3 mile Kid’s Run Route. Following the race and the parade, stick around for  food and craft vendors on the courthouse lawn, live music, among other Summerfest activities.

All proceeds will benefit Dallas High School athletic programs through the DHS Booster Club.
