Happy Girls Race Series Now Accepting Applications For New Multi-City Scholarship Program
$3,000 in race entry scholarships donated by Happy Girls Runner and cancer survivor

Bend, Ore.—The Happy Girls Race Series is proud to announce the premiere of a multi-city Happy Girls Scholarship program. Lay It Out Events, the founder of the event, was recently gifted $3,000 in race entry scholarships from a Happy Girl runner and cancer survivor who has had life-changing experiences at Happy Girls races. Spurred by her realization of a 100-lb weight loss and an incredibly supportive community of women, the anonymous donor wants more women to be able to enter and participate at all levels.

With this intent, the scholarship will reduce potential financial barriers that may be limiting participants from using the race as a means to taking on their own life challenges. A number of free race entries will be available to women striving to make significant changes in their lives and establish a vibrant and inspiring lifestyle.

To be eligible for an award, applicants must submit a short essay outlining what completing a Happy Girls Run would mean to them. They are asked to share their goals and how they will become more expansive in life and in their community.

Applications are now being accepted through the following websites:
