Portland Marathon Clinic run for Saturday, June 28, 2014

PMTC-logoHills are the order of the week for this 13th running of the 2014 Portland Marathon Training Clinic!

The group will meet up at Duniway Park and start climbing up and over the hills of Terwilliger. One thing I love about this run: the Terwilliger hills get smaller every time you run them. Another fun fact: it’s actually quite shady once you get up there. (But still wear sunscreen.)

There are only two distances offered for this weekend’s run: 14 and 16 miles.

PMC is free and open to all; the distances are selected to prepare runners for the 2014 Portland Marathon. It might line up with another race you’re thinking of running; or maybe you don’t have any specific goal race in mind – no worries, the more the merrier at PMC!

Please also remember that your pace group leaders are volunteers and they deserve a big thank you after the run – maybe even a sweaty runner hug!

Here’s the rest of the schedule:

All runs are on Saturdays and start promptly at 8a, so be there by 7:45 at the very latest for instructions and to use the restroom before you start.  Click on the location for a Google map showing you where to go. For directions, click on “Get Directions” and enter your starting address.
