This week’s run is from Lululemon Pearl, at 1231 NW Couch in Portland. The route for this Saturday runs along the waterfront for a lovely out-and-back of 13, 15 and 16 miles.
Why the three different distances? Well, it’s because PMC is organized around the idea that even experienced marathoners can benefit from a group, but that runners new to the distance or with lower weekly mileage need to be sure not to overdo it. Talk with your pace group leader to determine which of the three distances is right for you.
Keep in mind there is only one restroom at Lululemon Pearl and make good use of the ones at Whole Foods or a coffee shop on the way. Speaking of Whole Foods, that’s the closest off-street parking available; and that’s a great place to refuel after your run.
Also remember:
- Dry shirt, shorts, sports bra, etc to change into after your run
- Sunscreen – apply before the run and after two hours
- Hydration/nutrition for during the run and a fresh bottle of water for after the run
Here’s the rest of the schedule:
All runs are on Saturdays and start promptly at 8a, so be there by 7:45 at the very latest for instructions and to use the restroom before you start. Click on the location for a Google map showing you where to go. For directions, click on “Get Directions” and enter your starting address.
