Portland Marathon Clinic run for Saturday, June 14, 2014

PMTC-logoRun 12, 14 or 16 miles this weekend with the Portland Marathon Clinic! This week's run starts from Mountain Hardwear at 722 SW Taylor in Portland. A reminder: these runs are free and open to all, with the mileage tailored for those training for the 2014 Portland Marathon. Even though there is an aid station on the route, you should definitely bring hydration and nutrition! Here's a course description from PMC pace group leader Diane Lechner (thanks, Diane!)

The 12, 14 or 16 mile run begins downtown at the PMC sponsor’s store, Mountain Hardwear.

After crossing the Steel Bridge, the city run covers segments of the Portland Marathon route along with charming city neighborhood excursions through Overlook and Sullivan’s Gulch.  The route takes runners around the Moda Center, past Widmer Brewing Co.and Adidas, then north to the Columbia Annex Park on Willamette Blvd.  Runners will return to Mountain Hardwear to shop and enjoy the store’s post-run hospitality.

Here’s the rest of the schedule:

About Kelly Barten (1152 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
