This is one of the best times to be in Seattle during the year. Usually rain free and gorgeous. The views on this course are amazing! Make it an experience and visit the Space Needle, the SeaFair, Waterfront, or one of these places suggested by a local in this blog. I still haven’t made my hotel reservations – any suggestions for a hotel within walking distance to the start (without the $200-$300 price tag of the Sponsored ones)?
Try Hotwire or Priceline for a hotel room–select the area around Seattle Center as well as downtown. You can always take the Monorail from downtown to Seattle Center. They usually have it running early in the morning on race day.
