Angels Making a Difference present the 5th Annual Run/Walk for a Cause to raise money for families battling cancer

by Misty Muller, guest blogger and volunteer organizer of the Angels Making a Difference event

Cancer … a scary word for anyone who has had their life interrupted by this terrible and invasive disease! No matter what type of cancer enters your life, it doesn’t take long for others to want to jump in and help in anyway they can.

Angels Making a Difference (AMD) is a local non-profit helping cancer patients and their families. AMD assists in bringing an extra hand in food, resources,  assistance, smiles, love, financial support, and anything that the cancer patient or family may need. Their help has supported hundreds of local families through difficult times.

Angels Making a Difference is hosting their 5th Annual Run/Walk for a Cause to help raise money for our cancer patients and their families. Without the support of the organization, AMD would not be as successful as they are in helping cancer patients through their cancer journey.

We started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. We also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support local race organizers.
