It has been hot out there this past week – especially for those of us who do a lot of running in the afternoon. I had to run on my lunchbreak each day this past week, and I defintely felt spent because of the warm weather. On the hottest of those days, I had my belt with waterbottles, but I felt the water got lukewarm entirely too quickly. Dolfin Pack seems like it could have been something I would have enjoyed on my runs, and had multiple functionality as well.

dolfin-pack-kickstarterWhile it is sometimes to have an Ultra vest or pack with pockets for energy gel, keys, etc, the Dolfin Pack is about as simple as it can get. It is made solely from neoprene, plastic, and velcro.

Our idea was simplicity. Cut out the fat of what was already on the market. The need is water not pockets, clips, or headphone jacks. That was the easy part! Secondly we had to design a strap system that allowed the bladder to stay tight to your back and prevent it from bouncing up and down.  Also of utmost importance was comfort for both men and women participating in an array of activities.

Some other cool features are it’s ability to be submerged underwater. What a great inclusion for those open water Tri training swims. There appears to be a never ending array of uses for this, and I would like to try to get my hands on one. There are more details on their Kickststarter and Facebook page, so head on over there. Time is running out and they are soooo close to their goal.  You can get in on the action for only $35!
