The Center is a non-profit organization created to assist Columbia County in responding to child abuse through the child forensic interviewing and medical assessment, treatment of children (birth – 18 years) alleged to have been sexually abused, physically abused, emotionally abused, neglected and/or witnessed a violent crime including domestic violence. The Amani Center’s mission is to “minimize trauma to child abuse victims through professional medical diagnosis and treatment in a secure and child-friendly environment with the goal of preventing child abuse in all forms.
