Race Preview: The Race – Revived

The_Race_Revived

Taking place on the same Eugene course as The Race that ran from 1983 to 1990, the new edition of The Race is back and once again directed by Peter Thompson. The Race – Revived will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014.  The course promises to be a flat, fast, and scenic USATF certified 8K road course. Racers will start on Martin Luther King Boulevard by the University of Oregon’s Autzen Football Stadium and finish downtown Eugene under the bridge connecting the City Hall and the Lane County Building.

Awards will be given to top division finishers and all racers will be eligible to win some pretty cool prizes.  This includes 20 pairs of HOKA One One shoes and someone will walk away with a new Chevrolet Sonic LT!  Now, those are some pretty awesome prizes!

If you want to be eligible to win, you’ve got to register for this exciting race.  Registration is limited to 5,000 participants, so register in advance, as it is possible that day of race registration may not be an option.

The Race – Revived is raising funds for the Eugene Health & Performance Foundation‘s racing team ‘The Spirit of Oregon’.

Racers are encouraged to come to packet pick-up on June 13 and 14 for the opportunity to “test drive” the HOKA One One shoes.
