Race for Hope 4/26/2014 Beaverton, Oregon

The Race for Hope 5k is an event to help raise funds and support for the Good Samaritan Ministries widows and orphans program. You may choose from a 5k run, or you can walk the course. Either way, you will be providing much needed support to members of our community who are in need.

Here are the details: The event occurs on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Fanno Creek Park in Beaverton, Oregon. Registration is available online, and closes on Friday, April 25, so register soon! Your entry fee of $35 includes an event shirt with lunch and music provided by His Hand His Feet Ministry and HWN Hillsboro Worship Network. In the spirit of giving, please also bring two non-perishable food items to the race to aid with the hunger needs in our community.

The course may be slightly different than listed, however, local police will provide traffic control at the Hall Boulevard crossing. This will be a safe course that all members of the family can participate on.

The Good Samaritan Ministries, Widows and Orphans satellite program has operated as an international and domestic supporter of the Good Samaritan Ministries for over 30 years. Locally, they offer encouragement and support to those in need in our community, provide fencing and cattle for the 5 Rock Ranch sustainable food plot in Yamhill, Oregon, and help widows with their basic needs and provide school supplies and back packs to children living in poverty in our community. Sign up for this event, bring the family, and support a worthy ministry in our neighborhood.
