The Alsea Falls Spring Fling is going to be an awesome race, with three distances to choose from. You may enter the 5k, 10k or 20k event. All events will be held on trails near Alsea Falls, Oregon (about 20-ish minutes north of Junction City, Oregon). Be prepared for mud and some awesomely steep terrain. But also … be prepared for the Easter Egg hunt along the course! Easter Eggs will be hidden along the different courses. Collect them, bring them to the finish line, and you could get yourself some special surprises! I like special surprises at a finish line, don’t you?
Here’s the 4-1-1 on the course: You’ll be running on about 80% trail, 15% gravel roads and a touch of pavement at the start/finish. The trail portion is single track and tree lined, which has the potential to be a muddy mess (yes!). The course will be well marked with a great group of volunteers cheering you along. Medical support is available on site if needed. … and don’t forget the Easter Eggs!
Prior to March 31, entry fees are $20 for the 5k, $30 for the 10k and $40 for the 20k. New Balance technical event shirts are available for an additional fee (shirts may be ordered up to 6 weeks in advance, so depending on when you register, you may not have the option to purchase an event shirt). Medals are presented to the first place finisher in each division, and overall awards are presented for the top 20k and 10k finisher for both men and women. Treats at the finish line for all participants, and raffle prizes will be drawn.
