Small Race Preview: 2014 Rogue River Rampage

rogue-river-rampage-logoOur Small Race Preview series runs every Monday, to let you know of a low-cost race put on by local race organizers for the following weekend. Each race featured will offer day of race registration. Please get out there and support these events, and share this post to tell your friends!

I just got back from my first trip to Gold Beach last week and I loved it. Even though I was in and out within a 18 hour period, the little amount of time I spent there was very much enjoyed. The Gold Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting a running event on Saturday, March 29 – the 2nd Annual Rogue River Rampage.

This race is said to be:

a fun race for the adventure runner or walker looking for a great time! Join us for our second Rogue River Rampage mud run on Saturday, March 29th. Enjoy a scenic trek through Huntley Park’s Rogue River Walk trail with a dirty but fun 4 mile run/walk course. Expect mud and obstacles while striding through the beauty of the Rogue River south bank.

Check out a course map here and join the event on Facebook too.

Rogue River Rampage (Gold Beach)
When: 10a on March 29
Where: Huntley Park
Register: Online here; $40 (includes shirt)

I am inputting my own little plug here for Arch Rock Brewing Company. They are not affiliated with the race (that I am aware of), but head over there too if you sign up to race. Good microbrews and good people.

The event organizers and I have been working on the obstacles and marking the 4 mile round trip course. We have rain coming in this week so it will definitely be good and muddy!
