Race Preview: 2014 Dragon Run

There is little I love more than a small, local race that benefits the community. If you share the love, then you've come to the right place. The Dragon Run  will be taking place this year on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Whitworth Elementary School and ending at Dallas High School, home of the Dragons! They are offering a 5k and an assortment of fun run distances that are perfect for the kiddos. All proceeds are going to benefit the Dallas Education Foundation.

The course will be a mix of paved pathways and grass and will run by the elementary, middle, and high school. All starting points will be along the course and all of the races will finish at the same place. Pre-registering (prior to April 5) guarantees you a race shirt designed by a Dallas High School art student and every finisher receives a medal.

Location: Whitworth Elementary School, 1151 SE Miller Ave, Dallas, Oregon

Distances: 5k, 1/4 mi., 1/2 mi., 1 mi., and 1.5 mi.

Registration Fees: $20+ $2.50 service charge for 5k $15 + $2.50 service charge for fun run distances, registration closes on April 11, 2014, register here. Registrations after April 5th are not guaranteed a race shirt. Day of registration will go until 9:45 a.m.
