Low-cost half marathon announced for April 27 in the Gorge

Just a quick announcement – full preview to follow when details are made available.

The Columbia Gorge Running Club is hosting the Birds of Prey Half Marathon (with a donation-based 5k) on Sunday, April 27. This race is a benefit for Stevenson High School XC programs. Registration is available here for only $25.

The race will start at 8a from Strawberry Island in North Bonneville, Washington. The course is a mix of paved path, grass trails, and “gritty terrain” and promises to be “scenic” (read: hills).

About Kelly Barten (1151 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
