Taking place on Saturday, April 5, at the Shotgun Creek recreation area in Marcola, Oregon, participants can choose to race in the 50k, 25k, 10k or 5k distances. The 50k and 25k courses will be a multi-loop style course on single track trails, and will include such thrilling trail racing obstacles as wildlife and stream crossings with rock bridges, and be quite thickly wooded! The 10k and 5k course will be on a loop of single track trails located to the north of the Shotgun Creek Campground, featuring an elevation gain of 566 feet per loop.
At the Bristow Trail Run on 2/16/2014 (click for a picture), incredible hand carved wood finisher medals were awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in race distance, and these will return for the Shotgun Trail Blast top finishers! The top three finishers in each age group/distance will receive a finisher medal. Everyone is eligible for random prizes. After you cross the finish line, hang around for post race food and beverages (Level 32 Racing always has a great array of post-race refreshments!), and a fireplace in the picnic shelter.
