Race Preview: Luckython 2014 [Uberthons]
The Reserve is a fun setting for races, and this will be the fourth time that Uberthons has used it as a racing venue. There’s plenty of parking and a covered staging area for day-of-race check-in plus the post-race potato bar. Read about last year’s Luckython here.
Now, all of the past Uberthons events have been on the north golf course, but this one will be on the south course. Variety! Rumor has it that the south course may be faster than the north one . . . . (Having run the north course three times now, I tend to think it’s about average overall for a non-track race; the relative flatness is balanced by the numerous turns, but then again my 5K PR was on that course.) If you want to check it out, here is the course map.
Speaking of fast, Uberthons is offering this incentive: “a person who breaks the course record in the 5k, 10k, or 15k will receive a $100 bill – male and female!”

There is a hard limit on the number of racers who can be on the course, and registration is well more than 3/4 full already!!
I can’t wait! It’ll be my first Luckython (but not my first Uberthons race). I love the Reserve–it’s so pretty.
Yeah, it’s a great venue. I love the night-time races, with the glow-in-the-dark markers on the course.
GET OUT! I can’t WAIT for the Luckython in 2015!!!! Sounds INCREDIBLE!
