Clark County Running Club “Heritage Trail” Run

you need to get out and burn off some excess calories that you consumed during the holidays? Want to participate in an awesome group-style run, but don’t have the money to pony up for race entry fees? Nothing to worry about, friends! The Clark County Running Club (CCRC) is holding a trail run on Saturday, January 11 at 10 a.m. This run is free to CCRC members, or $2 bucks for anyone else who wishes to join in!

No pre-registration is necessary. Just arrive about 30+ minutes before the start time to get registered. Please leave all baby joggers, dogs and head phones at home. You may choose from a 3, 7 or 10 mile trail run, which will cover the Lacamas Heritage Trail in Camas, Wash. The trail is gravel, and there is a decent amount of parking at the south end of the trail at Heritage Park.

Specific directions to the start line are: From SE 164th Ave., go east on SE 1st St. 1st will become Lake Rd. on the south side of Lacamas Lake. After about 4.8 miles you will see a paved parking area on the north side of the road. If you reach Everett St., you have gone too far. And yes, restrooms are available.

Bring your water bottle and a Gu, bring your friends, and get some miles in with the friendly folks at CCRC. This is a cheap, excellent way to log some miles.

Day of Race: Saturday, January 11, 2014
Time: 10:00 a.m. start for all distances (arrive at 9:30 or earlier to register)
Distance: 3, 7 and 10 milers
Cost: Free for Clark County Running Club members or $2 for non-members.
Register: No pre-registration; arrive at 9:30 a.m. or earlier race morning to register
