Price Increase Reminder: LeadmanTri Bend increase on 1/1/14

If part of your New Year’s resolution is to save workout more and spend less money, you should think about getting registered for the 2014 LeadmanTri Bend before the turn of the new year. On 1/1/14, the race price will increase $50, so register now!

From my previous previews:

The weekend of Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 is the week of Triathlons in Oregon. Aside from the Portland Marathon, the LeadmanTri Bend, the Best New Race of 2012 (as determined by Triathlete Magazine) is back in Bend on the 21st.

LeadmanTri Bend is a difficult and beautiful triathlon taking place near Mount Bachelor. Participants swim a 5K swim in Cultus Lake, a 223K bike course around Mount Bachelor, and a two-loop 22K running course around Tetherow Golf Course with a finish in NorthWest Crossing. The Leadman 125 cuts those distances in half.

There is also the possibility of competing in a relay of two or three people. A great feature is that the relay winners will win their weight in beer from Deschutes Brewery! Start buling up now!

Check out the awesome Leadman Tri buckle that is available to the following times:

Finish the Leadman 250 in under 11 hours and get a buckle.
Finish the Leadman 250 in under 9 hours and get a big buckle.
Finish the Leadman 125 in under 5 hours and 15 minutes and get a buckle.
Finish the Leadman 125 in under 4 hours and 30 minutes and get a big buckle.

This is no walk in the park, but I could see myself training for one of those awesomely unique prizes. While I am unable to compete in the event this year, it is definitely one I want to put on my list for 2014. I suggest you do the same if you are into multi-sport events.
