The course of the Sandelie Mud Run will be on the links!

There’s always something that warms my heart about a small local run, it seems simple, unfettered, and you know that it’s going to a good cause. The Sandelie Golf Course Mud Run is exactly these things – on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 9 a.m. runners will take off on a mostly flat trail run through the Sandelie Golf Course.

This local race donates a portion of its’ proceeds to Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue. The race is capped at 250 participants and this is the inaugural race, so the lines are sure to be short and the spirit high.

Parking is limited at Sandelie Golf Course, so carpooling and parking at Sandelie West 9 is encouraged.  Possible carpool locations include Wilsonville High School, Athey Creek Middle School, Wilsonville Fred Meyer, or Memorial Park in Wilsonville.

This race will run rain or shine and due to the terrain will not be for your brand new kicks you got from Christmas. I, personally, like a little grit on my shoe – makes me look like I’ve been places. No cross country spikes or spikes of any kind are permitted on this course.

Day of Race: Saturday, January 11, 2014
Time: 9 a.m. (Day-of Registration and Packet Pick-up begins between 8-8:30 a.m.)
Distance: 5k or 10k (run/walk)
Cost: 5k – $20, 10k – $25, prices increase on Day of Race (price increases are unknown and not listed on their website)
